Mann Points Out the Hole in Corbyn’s Foreign Policy

Responding to Corbyn’s statement that the US should have arrested ISIS leader, al-Baghdadi, John Mann bluntly tweeted:

Baghdadi blew himself up with a suicide belt. An arrest might have been slightly difficult in these circumstances.”

Labour Mayoral Candidate Suspended

Guido understands that the newly selected Mansfield Mayoral candidate has now been suspended this afternoon pending investigation by the Labour Party, following Guido’s article exposing his Facebook rants defending Ken Livingstone, Naz Shah’s comments, and calling Zionism as as “foul” as Nazism.

Labour MP John Mann tells Guido he has personally referred the case to Jenny Formby for immediate action. Mann says “It is one of the worst examples I have seen”…

John Mann: This is Corbyn’s Nick Clegg Moment

John Mann didn’t hold back on All Out Politics this morning with his reaction to Labour backing a second referendum.

“Let’s recall what happened to Nick Clegg when he reneged on his pledge on tuition fees, well he got decimated by the electorate, and that’s the risk Labour’s taking.”

“This is the metropolitan Labour Party, it’s got nothing to do with Labour voters in my area.”

“If Jeremy Corbyn doesn’t give a free vote on this, then what will happen is he will destroy the Labour Party.”

He’s not wrong…

Theresa May Already Bending To Labour Demands

John Mann confirmed this morning that the Prime Minister had promised sweeping concessions to Labour MPs like himself in order to coax them into supporting her withdrawal agreement. She promised that the UK would not only keep existing EU regulations on workers rights and environmental protections, but be legally bound to bring forward all new EU legislation in these areas to the House of Commons.

Mann said that he had secured “not just a promise from the Prime Minister, but the legislation on the Withdrawal Act will need to meet those requirements.” The idea of a Singapore style Brexit is drifting away…

John Mann Reveals Rape Threats Against His Wife From Far-Left Anti-Semites

PLP to Consider Banning Labour MPs from Sports & Social “Safe Space”

John Mann is telling his colleagues “We’ve all known for too long that there are people in this place who are best avoided.” He is presenting his “Stop the Sleaze” plan to the Parliamentary Labour Party (PLP) meeting on Monday. It includes a ban on MPs using the Sports & Social Club bar popular with young staff…

Mann wants MPs banned from using the Sports and Social bar in parliament and for it to be a safe space for young staff away from the groping hands of drunk MPs. His plan also includes compulsory training for all staff of MPs and constituency staff with a clear system of warnings for MPs when it comes to conduct.  Shockingly he demands a commitment from the Labour whips and the Labour leadership to not hide reports of abuse or harassment to protect the party’s interests. Implicitly he is accusing the Labour whips and the leadership of covering up scandals.

Mann wants Labour MPs who have been found to have sexually assaulted or harassed people to have to publicly apologise to the victim, to agree to stand down at the next general election and/or have the whip removed if appropriate, mandatory retraining from the Labour Women’s Network and for them to donate a proportion of their MP’s salary to charities that help victims of sexual harassment or abuse. Guido can’t see the PLP going along with this plan…

What Happened to John Mann Naming Labour’s ‘Disco King’?

Last week John Mann vowed to name a Labour MP who “behaved appallingly towards a young woman” – he has yet to do so. At the time the papers said the MP was “extremely disruptive” on a foreign trip, “thinks he’s the disco king” and allegedly “groped a woman”. Corbyn’s office received a complaint about an MP this week but say “it would not be appropriate to share details”. The Tories put together a spreadsheet naming their wrong ‘uns. Labour’s brocialists are hushing theirs up…

Brexit Select Committee Chair “Should Be a Brexiteer”

The chairman of the Brexit select committee will be a Labour MP and so far Hilary Benn is the only candidate. There are no challengers – yesterday Margaret Hodge told colleagues to let Benn take the job. There is however growing opposition from Labour Leavers. John Mann tells Guido: “It should be a Brexiteer”. Would he consider running? “We will all have to consider it,” Mann says of himself and fellow Labour Leavers. Remember, the Brexit committee chairman will be decided by a vote of all MPs. John Mann or Gisela Stuart would be a popular choice with Tory MPs who want to make sure the government delivers. Benn is an arch-Remainer, he believes we should stay in the single market and says immigration numbers will not come down. Select committees are supposed to hold ministers to account, not obstruct them. Benn is far from the best person to make sure Brexit means Brexit. Surely MPs should choose a Leaver if they want to hold May’s feet to the fire…

Labour MP Compares Naz Shah to Eichmann

Following Labour MP Naz Shah’s call for the mass “transportation of Israelis out of the Middle East, her Labour colleague John Mann tells Guido:

“The last person to propose a forced repatriation of this kind was Adolph Eichmann on August 15 in 1940 (the Madagascar plan).”

He adds that Shah should attend events “in order to learn about anti Semitism and the impact on people’s lives”.[…] Read the rest
