Labour’s Anti-Semitic Conference Line-Up

A party’s conference is their opportunity to allow members to debate policy, market their party to donors, and show the public the best of what their party has to offer. The Labour party are ensuring they tick this last box this year with a number of very questionable fringe events this year, featuring Jackie Walker and Chris Williamson.

Labour conference-goers can also look forward to a “Labour Against the Witchhunt” meeting with Ken Livingstone and Jackie Walker. The problem for Labour is surely within their party these views are no longer fringe…

Jackie Walker Finally Expelled From Labour

Disgraced Labour activist Jackie Walker a former Vice Chair of Momentum who previously said Jews financed the slave trade, criticised Holocaust Memorial Day, and promoted conspiracy theories about Jews in the media. She has been at the centre of the hard left’s claims that anti-Semitism within the Labour Party is just an excuse for a ‘witch hunt’ of left wing activists. Today she was finally expelled, three years after her controversial comments made the news

Jewish Voice for Labour Chair Dismisses Anti-Semitism as “Form of Coup” Against Corbyn

Jenny Manson, the Chair of fringe group Jewish Voice for Labour, has launched into a Chris Williamson-style attack on the anti-Semitism storm which continues to rock the Labour Party. Manson dismissed allegations of anti-Semitism as a “form of coup” by Labour MPs who are attempting to “split the party”, while pointing the finger at Tom Watson and Margaret Hodge for their “endless criticism of Jeremy Corbyn”. She accuses her own party’s MPs of using anti-Semitism as a “whip” against Jeremy Corbyn…

Jewish Voice for Labour is closely aligned with Labour Against the Witchhunt, the group founded by suspended Labour hardliner Jackie Walker, which is currently running a campaign to reinstate Chris Williamson. When the Tories suspended 14 members yesterday for Islamophobia they directly told them not to arrange any gathering which “purports to portray or appears to be connected in any way with the Conservative Party”Yet suspended Labour anti-Semites are still happily running around holding events and setting up campaigns under the Labour banner…

On the day that the Jewish Labour Movement is deciding whether to disaffiliate from the Labour Party after 99 years, it speaks volumes that Corbynistas like Jenny Manson are still being given free rein to attack Labour MPs for calling out anti-Semitism while fresh controversies are uncovered on an almost daily basis about how the party leadership itself has been obstructing and interfering in investigations. Maybe that’s not such a surprise given Corbyn himself backed a motion to disaffiliate JLM’s predecessor from the Labour Party almost 35 years ago…

Jackie Walker Shares More Anti-Semitic Imagery While Defending Chris Williamson

Jackie Walker spent most of yesterday evening vigorously defending now suspended Labour MP Chris Williamson from the half-hearted actions of the Labour Party, just days after she shared yet another arguably anti-Semitic image on her Facebook profile. The big hook nosed image is a standard trope..

Walker seemed particularly upset at how the Labour Party belatedly told Chris Williamson that it probably wasn’t a good idea to host a screening of her film called ‘The Witchhunt’ which defends Walker’s many bouts of anti-Semitism. She shared a supportive letter defending Chris Williamson and demanding that the film be shown in Parliament, whilst defending herself and her clearly anti-Semitic statements on the grounds of “dialogue and debate.”

Walker, a former Vice Chair of Momentum, has previously said Jews financed the slave trade, criticised Holocaust Memorial Day, and promoted conspiracy theories about Jews in the media. Despite this Williamson was determined to screen her film. Clearly neither of them have learned their lesson…

“McNicol’s Gone, Now It’s Time For the Rest of Them”

The scene outside Labour HQ ahead of today’s NEC general secretary meeting: Jackie ‘Jews financed the slave trade’ Walker and comrades are outside chanting “McNicol’s gone, now it’s time for the rest of them”. Yesterday the departures of Governance Director John Stolliday, PLP secretary Dan Simpson, Patrick Heneghan, Tracey Allen, Julie Lawrence, Neil Fleming, Emilie Oldknow and Simon Jackson were confirmed. The takeover is nearly complete…

Chris Williamson Defends “Jews Financed Slave Trade” Jackie Walker

Readers will remember Jackie Walker, who was suspended from the Labour Party not once but twice for claiming “Jews” financed the slave trade and attacking Holocaust Memorial Day. She’s being supported by top Corbynistas at conference…

Jackie has been speaking at fringe events… Have they let her back in again?

Jackie Walker Claims Jewish Media “Pattern”

Anti-Semitism row Corbynista Jackie Walker was yesterday referred to Labour’s highest disciplinary body for possible expulsion from the party. They might want to look at this post on her Facebook page last night. Walker claims that the news of her referral to Labour’s NCC was “leaked” to the Jewish Chronicle and the Guardian’s Jessica Elgot, who Walker notes “previously worked for the Jewish Chronicle”. Walker says “this is a pattern” and “the work goes on”. Sure Labour’s disciplinary panel will be very interested in Jackie’s conspiracy theory about Jews in the media…

Jackie Walker Doubles Down on Holocaust Memorial Day

Jackie Walker was suspended by Labour for, among other things, her comments about Holocaust Memorial Day. She has doubled down today, this year’s HMD, complaining that the event does not acknowledge other genocides.

As anyone can see on the HMD website, and as Jackie knows, it does. She really is quite mad.

Al-Jazeera Defends Jackie Walker

Well there goes the credibility of Al-Jazeera’s investigation into the “Israeli lobby” and British Jews. Their new episode aired today defends Jackie Walker, who was famously suspended by Labour for saying that “Jews” were the “chief financiers of the sugar and slave trade”. Even the Corbynistas do not contest that Walker’s conduct has been unacceptable – Corbyn’s Labour have kicked her out. But Al-Jazeera journalists incredibly say she was a victim of an Israeli conspiracy:

Al-Jazeera also quote Electronic Intifada, a virulently anti-Semitic pro-Palestine website. Sad that a supposedly reputable news organisation has become The Canary in broadcast form…

Momentum Not Suspending Jackie Walker, Demand Labour Reinstate Her

Momentum have sacked Jackie Walker as vice chair but decided not to suspend her membership or remove her from their steering committee. They say in a statement released last night that her comments on the Holocaust were “irresponsible” but not anti-Semitic, and they say she was stitched up: “Momentum is concerned that footage of a training session was leaked to the press. The leak is unacceptable and undermines much needed political education”.

They add: “On the basis of the evidence the Committee has seen, Jackie should not be expelled from the Labour Party”. So Momentum believe Walker’s comments were not anti-Semitic, blame the media for exposing her and say she shouldn’t be kicked out of Labour. Wonder what the Labour moderates who kowtowed to Momentum last week have to say now…

Jackie Walker Suspended By Labour

Press Association reports Jackie Walker has been suspended from the Labour Party. Again. Bye…

Lansman “Appalled” By Jackie Walker’s Conduct

lansman

Jackie Walker’s position as vice-chair of Momentum looks increasingly untenable after sources said Jon Lansman, previously a supporter and friend, had reached the end of his tether. A senior Jewish Labour source told Guido last night:

“Very senior members of Momentum from Lansman downwards are appalled by this. They say they find Jackie a liability. They recognise the damage that she is doing. They agree that her remarks are continually offensive.”

The Guardian reports that members of Momentum’s steering committee will seek to have Walker expelled on Monday. Manuel Cortes, the leader of the militant TSSA union, says Walker must resign or his union will withdraw their support from Momentum. The bizarre moment when Momentum are taking anti-Semitism more seriously than the Labour Party…

Jackie Walker’s Friends in High Places

dinner

This photo appears to show Jeremy Corbyn dining with Jackie Walker’s partner Graham Bash in Liverpool this week. Jackie uploaded the picture to her own Facebook page on Saturday. Corbyn and Bash have been close friends for over 30 years, Bash edited the hard-left Labour Briefing publication of which Corbyn sat on the editorial board, and is treasurer of John McDonnell’s Labour Representation CommitteeThe only reason Jackie hasn’t been kicked out of the Labour Party for anti-Semitism is that she and her boyfriend are best mates with the leader…

Jewish Groups and Corbynistas Condemn Jackie Walker

Labour’s standing in the Jewish community is at a new low after the party refused to comment on what action it would take against Jackie Walker. The chair of the Jewish Labour Movement Jeremy Newmark says:

“If Royall, Chakrabarti and Jeremy’s speech yesterday have made any difference to anything we would have expected to see clear, open action against Jackie Walker’s provocative behaviour. Her remarks seem to have been carefully calibrated to cause maximum hurt and pain to many many people.”

The Campaign Against Anti-Semitism says:

“It is beyond disgraceful that she was readmitted to the Labour Party and remains Vice Chair of Momentum. Shortly after her outburst, Jeremy Corbyn promised to fight antisemitism with his every breath but this is just the latest in a string of incidents involving Jackie Walker. What is there to investigate? How many more chances will she be given? Enough is enough. Jackie Walker must be expelled from the Labour Party and Momentum immediately and condemned in the strongest possible terms. Until Labour matches its rhetoric with action, we remain of the view that the Labour Party is not safe for Jews.”

The Jewish Chronicle’s Marcus Dysch says it’s a

“Complete cover up so we don’t know who’s in, who’s out, or what action is taken.”

The Holocaust Memorial Day Trust has condemned her comments:

“We are extremely shocked and saddened that Jackie Walker has questioned the aims and basis of Holocaust Memorial Day… Commemoration of the Holocaust should be a universal responsibility and does not prevent or undermine commemoration of other genocides.”

Even Corbynistas and Momentum supporters have said she should go:

Jackie is very close friends with Jon Lansman, and used their relationship to get him to argue she should be reinstated to the party last time round. Her partner is Graham Bash, a personal friend of Corbyn for over 30 years. Bash works for the Labour Representation Committee, the faction controlled by another of his close friends, John McDonnell. Corbynistas without personal connections to Walker are angrily briefing that this is why no action has been taken…

Labour Anti-Semitism Cover-Up

Labour will keep their response to the Jackie Walker anti-Semitism row private following new procedures adopted after the Chakrabarti inquiry. The party is under pressure to expel Walker over her comments on the Holocaust, yet Labour say they will not update the public on any action taken against her, a new policy recommended by Baroness Chakrabarti. A Labour spokesman says:

“We don’t comment on individuals’ membership status.”

Previously Labour would tell the press as soon as a member had been suspended.

Just hours after Jeremy Corbyn told conference “every one of us has a responsibility” to stand up to anti-Semitism, Labour are covering up their response to anti-Semitic remarks made by members. The new policy aims to make sure those accused of anti-Semitism are not treated unfairly, its priority is to protect those facing investigation. Unless Walker herself discloses what action, if any, is taken, the public will be kept in the dark. A complete cop out from Labour that ends all transparency on how they’re dealing with anti-Semitism. Corbyn’s words yesterday weren’t worth the autocue they were written on…

UPDATE: There is widespread uneasiness about this:

New Jackie Walker Facebook Posts: Holocaust “Not the Preserve of Jews”

New Facebook posts have emerged of Momentum boss Jackie Walker arguing that the Holocaust “is not the preserve of Jews”. She also suggested that Jews were proportionately not the main victim of the Nazis:

screen-shot-2016-09-28-at-14-23-32

And she suggested that Jews shouldn’t use the word Holocaust:

Can Labour and Momentum allow her to remain as a member?

Jackie Walker: “All Holocaust Denial is Acceptable”

Momentum boss Jackie Walker is facing suspension from Labour (again) for criticising Holocaust Memorial Day. So this typo in her tweet explaining her comments is unfortunate…

Unite Motion Calls for “Loyal” Anti-Semites to Be Reinstated

UNITE FOR ANTI-SEMITES

Unite had up until now managed to stay out of the Labour anti-Semitism crisis. That’s not good enough for the London ITC branch of the Union, who will next Thursday be debating readmitting suspended members. Sources say the following is specifically about anti-Semitism. The branch’s motion claims:

There has been a wave of expulsions within the Labour Party, targeting socialist activists and supporters of Party leader Jeremy Corbyn.

These comrades are being expelled on the grounds that they do not support the aims and values of the Labour Party.

This branch believes the expelled comrades are loyal Labour Party members, who are being targeted on spurious grounds as part of a right-wing campaign to undermine Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership.

The lack of due process involved in these expulsions is outrageous, as is the failure to apply the principles of natural justice.

The shadowy and unaccountable Compliance Unit is acting in the manner of a vigilante as a law unto itself.

This branch demands that a stop be brought to these expulsions and that all those who do support the aims and values of the Labour Party be welcomed into the Party with open arms.

That the Compliance Unit be abolished. That, rather than expelling socialist activists, Labour focus its attention on uniting together around a socialist programme in order to defend Corbyn, kick out the Tories, and end austerity.

Loyal Labour party members who believe Zionists colluded with the Nazis, Israelis should be “relocated“, and who call on their comrades to address the Jewish question. All comrades targeted on spurious grounds, apparently…

Labour Reinstate Race Row Corbynista

Jackie Walker is the senior Momentum organiser who was suspended from the Labour Party for writing that “Jews” were the “chief financiers of the sugar and slave trade” and asking “what debt do we owe the Jews?”. She’s just been let back in – a Labour spokesman says:

“Following the outcome of an investigation, Jacqueline Walker is no longer suspended and remains a member of the party.”

Walker received support from the Momentum leadership during her suspension. Guido is told Corbyn’s team was sympathetic to her case. There are reports of Labour supporters tearing up their membership cards in protest at her reinstatement…

Quote of the Day

Boris as Hulk…

‘Banner might be bound in manacles, but when provoked he would explode out of them. Hulk always escaped, no matter how tightly bound in he seemed to be – and that is the case for this country. We will come out on October 31 and we will get it done.’
