Young Femi is just 29 and three-quarters years old, but this election he’s been through more than anyone should have to endure. He desperately needs someone who cares…
When Parliament dissolved a few weeks ago, Femi was badly affected; with his national broadcaster TV spots drying up, thanks to them selfishly inviting actual politicians over campaigners from disintegrating organisations. No one should have to experience this…
For the record. I’ve had no national televised media slots for the last two weeks as the media programs have chosen to focus on politicians. I have tried to get on TV, but I’ve had nothing back.
So I’ve done my best to do what I can on here, focusing on tactical voting.— Femi (@Femi_Sorry) December 11, 2019
Guido is therefore delighted to launch this year’s Christmas appeal for the nation’s favourite privately-educated, ski-holidaying, Remain activist.
This Christmas, please help show actual grown men like Femi that they haven’t been forgotten…
UPDATE: It seems our appeal has done wonders for Femi. It transpires we have raised so much money Femi is able to forgo TV entirely, and go on a lecturing tour of French ski resorts. Guido reckons middle-class skiing holiday-goers may be a case of preaching to the converted…
When Guido reported on the dying days of the People’s Vote campaign yesterday, he overlooked another earth shattering moment that will strike at the very heart of every remainer in the country: Femi Oluwole has quit the People’s Vote campaign. A nation mourns…
Whilst it was thought two sub-campaign groups – For Our Future’s Sake (FFS) and Our Future Our Choice (OFOC) – had split from the umbrella group, it transpires not all of OFOC could face leaving the warm embrace of Milbank Tower.
Only three of OFOC’s number have disaffiliated, the most prominent of whom is Femi Oluwole, whose incessant tweeting most Guido readers will inevitably have come across at some point. Finally, Femi and Guido can agree on something: how useless the People’s Vote campaign is…
UPDATE: Despite being removed from the ‘Meet the Team‘ section of the OFOC website, Femi is now saying he is still a member of the organisation.
Continuity Remain’s Femi Oluwole took to Sky News this afternoon to claim that the Belfast (Good Friday) Agreement relies on membership of or even regulatory alignment with the European Union. The ASI’s Matt Kilcoyne took Femi to task over his “disgraceful” weaponisation of IRA terrorism. As Guido reported last week, the High Court of Northern Ireland has now conclusively determined that the agreement did not depend on either:
“Once again, neither the Belfast Agreement nor this suite of provisions was predicated on the basis that UK membership of the EU would continue forever. Neither of them can be construed as requiring a customs Union or continued regulatory alignment. More fundamentally, there is no sufficient evidential foundation for the incompatibility asserted. There is no suggestion that the incompatibility has already materialised”
Remainers still can’t listen to the experts…
Yesterday’s pro-Brexit ruling in Northern Ireland thoroughly dismissed a Remainer case attempting to make No Deal illegal – by arguing it would damage the Northern Ireland peace process. In his judgement Lord Justice McCloskey thoroughly slapped down the spurious arguments that the Belfast (Good Friday) Agreement hinges on membership of the European Union, or even regulatory alignment with it…
“Neither NIA 1998 nor the international treaty scheduled to the Belfast Agreement (or, for that matter, the Agreement itself) has the effect in law of requiring the continued membership of the EU on the part of the UK.
The Supreme Court was alert to this in Miller: see [129]. Furthermore, none of the sources mentioned subjects the EU 27 to conclude an Article 50 Withdrawal Agreement in any particular terms.”
This expert ruling will come as sad news to some of Guido’s Remoaner friends, who have repeatedly, erroneously, argued that it does:
It is impossible for anyone who understands the Good Friday Agreement to believe that Northern Ireland can leave the Customs Union without breaking the treaty. Hoey is not the only one daft or deluded enough to miss this point. But this? This is a whole new level of batshittery. https://t.co/4TFQQzdnM4

The man who tells us all ‘How To Be Right’ getting it wrong…
The Good Friday Agreement is guaranteed by the EU. Without the EU and the four freedoms, without the Uk and Ireland both being in the EU, it wouldn’t have been possible. Hence why the GFA and peace are threatened by Brexit.

Maybe stick to comedy mate…
Ireland & UK signed the Good Friday Agreement explicitly as EU members. 3,600 deaths preceded it. If there was an easy solution they’d have found it at 36 deaths.
WE chose to undermine the agreement with no solution.
We should be ASHAMED that it’s not US insisting on the backstop— Femi (@Femi_Sorry) February 20, 2019
Spoken with such confidence, just a shame its completely inaccurate
Dublin seeks to preserve the Good Friday Agreement. London’s (and the DUP’s) choices are inconsistent with its preservation. https://t.co/I9a63XeJFt

The Twitter Lawyer is wrong again. Awkward…
The Brexit-bashing Twitterati have finally been starting to feel the consequences of putting out their endless stream of slurs and abuse against Brexiteers – last week the Guardian paid up in full after defaming Isabel Oakeshott. Now it’s 29-year-old ‘youth activist’ Femi Oluwole who is facing legal action over a series of tweets he put out last week trying to link Brexit Party Chairman Richard Tice with anti-Semitism over a tweet sent out by Leave.EU last year. Tice’s lawyers asked Femi to withdraw the the tweets by Saturday night but he failed to do so, Tice has now initiated formal legal proceedings…
Tice left Leave.EU in June 2016, the tweet Femi was highlighting is from over two years later in October 2018. Last time Tice launched libel action his lawyers Wedlake Bell won him an apology and costs from SNP MEP Alyn Smith and an on-air Newsnight apology. Femi likes to go on about his legal credentials, he’s about to find up whether they stack up in a court of law…
