Boris’s Uxbridge Opponent At Helm For Council Flats Fire Negligence

Camden Council pleaded guilty to two health and safety breaches concerning the lack of fire detectors, alarms and a viable escape route at a council-maintained block of flats in which a blaze took the life of 35-year-old Magdalena Fink in November 2017. The council have been ordered to hand over £500,000 of taxpayers’ money in fines. It will also cover the £41,000 legal costs of the London Fire Brigade, who brought the prosecution.

Worse still, the council were warned in a 2013 risk assessment that the block urgently required a new fire alarm system, replacement fire doors and removal of flammable cladding on the only escape route.

Cllr Matthew Kirk of the LibDems said:

“This is a huge amount of money which could have bought a lot of benefits for Camden residents… no officer has taken responsibility for this clearly dramatic failing.”

The Camden Council member responsible for planning, regeneration, economic growth and “Camden’s ambitious council house building programme” since October 2017 is none other than Danny Beales. A councillor since May 2014, Beales’ tenure at the top has been plagued by mould, damp, and fires. Yet despite the dangerous living conditions, the Camden cabinet voted to put council home tenants’ rents up by 7% in January.

Beales is bidding to be underwhelming on the national stage as he hopes to unseat Boris Johnson at the next election…

Boris Threatened to “Punch” Macron’s “Lights Out” Over Ukraine

The second episode of Guto Harri’s Unprecedented podcast reveals Rishi Sunak wasn’t the only one who got under Boris’s skin: he called Emmanuel Macron “a c***” too. In the immediate aftermath of the Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, Harri claims the former PM unleashed an enraged diatribe against Macron after the French President criticised the UK’s handling of the refugee crisis, saying “He’s a four-letter word that begins with C. He’s a weirdo. He’s Putin’s lickspittle.” At one point Boris told close allies he was “going to have to punch [Macron’] lights out”…

Luckily the pair “patched things up” at the G7  a few weeks later over a glass of whisky, with no harm done. Harri also reveals what Zelensky told Boris after the UK supplied NLAW missiles to Ukraine: “Every time we fire them, we think of a love story… all you need is N-love…”

Boris and Rishi Attack European Broadcasting Union for Barring Zelenskyy from Eurovision

Sunak has waded into the debacle of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) turning a cold shoulder to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, with Boris in tow. While the President of war-torn Ukraine had hoped to feature in a surprise virtual address at the ceremony, the EBU stressed that the “non-political nature of the event” would render any appearance “against the rules.” Europe and their superfluous self-contradictory laws…

The PM’s spokesperson said Sunak believed it would be “fitting for President Zelenskyy to address the event” and emphasised that he was “disappointed by the decision from the European Broadcasting Union.” Boris joined in the chorus to proclaim that it “would have been right to hear” from Zelenskyy, and remind the EBU that “there is only one reason the contest is not in Ukraine and that is because of Putin’s illegal war.”

The EBU, which represents over 100 broadcasters including the BBC, noted Zelenskyy’s “laudable intentions” as they closed the door in his face “regrettably”. Eurovision and the EBU seem to have forgotten about their non-political stance when they rightly barred Russia indefinitely from the competition last year.

Boris’s Uxbridge Opponent is Councillor Responsible for “Overwhelmed With Black Mould” Housing

The Camden councillor hoping to unseat Boris Johnson in Uxbridge is the man responsible for a flagship development which became “overwhelmed with damp and black mould”. Danny Beales’s profile on Camden Labour boasts he is the “cabinet member responsible for Camden’s ambitious council house building programme”. It’s not something to be proud of considering recent developments…

Last week it was reported that an 89-year old great grandmother, Margaret Davis, was forced to move out of her flat in Camden’s flagship housing block due to poor conditions. Margaret, who has suffered from pneumonia, had been housed in the block since 2018, after the council demolished her flat of 55 years. The Council also delayed their plans to move Margaret, though have now done so and issued an apology. All on Danny’s watch. Considering his stump speech leans so heavily on experiences of homelessness, he of all people should know the value of good quality housing.

Danny has previously bragged of acting on the housing crisis where the national government “has failed”. He adds that Camden Council, which operates over Sir Keir’s constituency, is “showing the way for a Labour government”. Guido wouldn’t put that one in the manifesto…

LISTEN: Guto Harri Reveals Boris’s Sweary Response to Rishi Sunak

Boris Johnson wanted to send a meme video to Rishi Sunak calling him a “a c*nt” after he resigned as Chancellor last year. The swear-y revelation comes from the first episode of Guto Harri’s new podcast, Unprecedented, which sheds more light on tensions between Boris and Rishi – both over policy and Sunak’s resignation. Guto describes Boris’s response to Rishi’s resignation, which he saw as “the great betrayal of all time”, and how he joked about sending him a video (as seen above) ending with the charge “you’re a c*nt”. Listener discretion is advised for co-conspirators with an aversion to robust language…

These tensions came to a head following a prolonged period of policy clashes. Boris “wanted something more dynamic to deliver economic growth”, whilst Rishi was “digging in”. The frustration with a “bank manager” Chancellor became too much for Boris, who “blew up”, exclaiming “f*ck this sh*t, man. F*ck this shit. We need to clear out the Treasury… We need dynamism! We’re not here to just manage the decline. We need the growth engine of the British economy to be humming…”

Unfortunately, Rishi wasn’t in the room.
