Labour MP Who Posed with Hamas Says Labour has Failed on Antisemitism

In news that sounds more like a Daily Mash article, a Labour MP who previously posed for a photoshoot with Hamas has spoken out against Labour’s inability to deal with its Antisemitism article. No, it isn’t Jeremy Corbyn – he would never admit such a problem…

Andy Slaughter has told  Hammersmith Today that his party was “complacent” on tackling Antisemitism. A fair point, but not one Slaughter is totally unconnected to, given just last year it was revealed he and Corbyn travelled to Israel in 2010 to meet senior Hamas officials. Hamas, of course, a group that wants to wipe Israel off the map and murder Jewish people worldwide…

Shadow London Minister to Defy Whip on Article 50

Shadow London minister Andy Slaughter has told constituents he will defy Corbyn’s three line whip and vote against Article 50. Despite backing an EU referendum, in an email seen by Guido Slaughter now says he will vote against implementing the result:

“I am a passionate pro-European, who worked hard for the Remain campaign last summer and still believes our prosperity, security, culture and values will be strengthened by close relations with the rest of Europe, including through membership of the EU. 70% of the voters of Hammersmith voted to Remain. I have always thought my first loyalty is to my constituents and thousands have lobbied me to vote against the trigger…

But none of these is the reason I will be voting against triggering Article 50… What has convinced me to vote against the trigger was the decision by Theresa May in her speech two weeks ago, repeated and expanded on since, that this would be not only the first but the final chance to influence not just whether but on what terms the UK left the EU.”

Slaughter resigned in protest at Corbyn’s leadership during the coup last year, then returned to the frontbench with his tail between his legs. He isn’t responsing to Guido’s texts asking if he now plans to resign again…

Andy Slaughter is Having a Mayor

Yesterday Shadow Justice Minister Andy Slaughter’s cack-handed campaign for re-election suffered the embarrassment of distributing illegal leaflets in Hammersmith. Today the Labour MP faces more questions after he was photographed canvassing alongside the Mayor of the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. Mercy Umeh was foolishly snapped by neighbouring Labour candidate in Chelsea Alexandra Sanderson, clutching leaflets backing Slaughter alongside Labour party activists. The rules are very clear: there is a strict requirement for the Mayor to be non-party political. It’s not the first time she’s been caught helping out Labour either. Will the powers that be show Mercy?

Labour’s Shadow Justice Minister Struggles With the Law

It seems Labour’s slippery Andy Slaughter is struggling with even the most basic of instructions:

1.1 During the period when Parliament is dissolved before a General Election there are no Members of Parliament. Consequently you may not use that title during this period.

Here is what he is distributing today in Hammersmith:

Awkward for any MP, let alone a Shadow Justice Minister…
