And Jeremy Corbyn said abolishing the monarchy is “not on Labour’s agenda”…
A BBC presenter has broken impartiality guidelines by bashing The Sun, the Daily Mail and the Express on election day.
Shaun Keaveny, who presents the breakfast show on Radio 6 Music, said he had “much respect” for someone who had tweeted a picture of multiple copies of the newspapers that they had bought to burn.
Keaveny then tweeted: “The age-old advice never fails. Do NOT EVER stare directly into the Sun. Or the Mail or Express for that matter.”
The BBC’s official guidelines state that it is not “appropriate for [BBC presenters] to present or write personal view programmes and content…on ‘controversial subjects’ in any area.”
Guido thinks Keaveny’s Twitter bio sums him up rather well: “A parasitic tick in the ear of the BBC”.
Every BBC presenter is impartial…some are just more impartial than others, right?
Unfortunately for Moran, this makes 80% of her Times readers c**ts, as only 20% of Times readers voted for Labour in 2015. This figure pales in comparison to the 55% who voted for the Conservatives in that election.
Even worse for Moran, The Times today officially endorsed the Conservatives this morning.
Can’t wait for her defeat column on Saturday…
UPDATE: Moran has now deleted the Tweet, possibly after a stern word from the boss.
The Labour candidate for Morecambe and Lunesdale has muddled up her own address.
Vikki Singleton, a councillor, has listed herself as living within the constituency on her official nomination papers. However, last week she issued a leaflet saying she lives outside the constituency in Blackpool It is of course a legal requirement to give your current address….
She has also released a campaign video where she promises to fight for rural Lunesdale. She uses footage of Holme Parish Hall to illustrate her point…which is not in Lunesdale at all, but is in fact in neighbouring Tim Farron’s Westmorland and Lonsdale constituency.
It is almost as she has been parachuted into the seat and hasn’t a clue….
Why is Paul Nuttall eating a bag of chips at 10.15 a.m.?
— EMAIL PRANKSTER. (@SINON_REBORN) 6 June 2017
Diane Abbott has apparently been duped by the same email prankster who caught out Bank of England Governor Mark Carney and Barclays CEO Jes Staley. The prankster, in character as Seamus Milne, elicited concern from Diane about her role in future press coverage: “What is the situation about election night press?” Abbott also appears to have inadvertently disclosed medical information. This has not been a good election for Diane Abbott…
