Ousted Oxford Union President George Abaraonye is attempting to remain in post. He has now filed a formal appeal after losing last month’s no-confidence vote…

The affair has led membership of the Union to slump by a whopping 25%. Abaraonye technically remains President-elect while his case heads to a tribunal of the Oxford Union’s Senior Disciplinary Committee. He’ll be hoping he can cling on long enough for his term as President to start in January. Maybe Jolyon could help?
Speaking at his speech on how to achieve “progressive capitalism” Wes Streeting fired a dig and Andy Burnham:
“Bond markets are not bond villains and fiscal rules matter.”
