At the same time as Starmer was proudly unveiling his Immigration White Paper another wave of small boat migrants crossed the Channel. GB News is reporting that another 400 arrived this morning. Taking the total number for this year to over 12,000…
Between 28 April and 12 May, arrivals surged from 10,000 to 12,000. That’s 2,000 people in just 14 days, or 175 per day. n the 10,000-12,000 period in 2024 – much later in the year from May 25 to June 19 – the daily average was just 80. At this rate, Britain is on course to see nearly 29,000 small boat arrivals by the end of August. The total number of Channel crossings last year was 37,000. Starmer is on track to smash last year’s figure rather than any gangs…
Green Deputy Leader Rachel Millward said:
“The reality is that it’s Zack Polanski who brought the nation, Andy Burnham. And if we hadn’t had the success of the Green Party in this last year since Zack’s been leading, which has been unprecedented, phenomenal success and a growth from about 60,000 members to 230,000, if we hadn’t had that much pressure on Labour, then we’d probably still be in the Starmer regime, which was pretty much ushering in a Reform government with its lurch to the right. So actually, what we’re seeing now is that we’ve set the political agenda and the government is picking that up.”
