Figures show 27 CPS staff are allowed “to undertake diversity-related network time during core working hours across its eight staff networks who are allocated ‘network time’.” These are special networks for groups like LGBTI staff, carers, disabled staff and Muslim staff. One network is just called “Social Mobility.” Almost 30 staff are paid to spend working hours on this…

The government says there is no plan to decrease funding for networks this financial year – the CPS itself says “there is a strong link between a diverse workforce and inclusive culture and public trust and confidence in the CPS.” Crime increased by 10% in England and Wales last year…
