The Welsh Government, led by Labour before Plaid, has spent thousands on such luxurious items as visits to Cannes for the film festival, whisky tasting in France, and campervans at festivals. Devolution going about as well as expected…
An FOI to the Welsh Government fired by the Reform Party has picked up the spending on the government’s credit card. This is only from May to June. Plaid came in on 13th May:
Reform UK Wales’s Shadow Minister for Finance, Cai Parry-Jones, told Guido:
“Wales’s education system is falling behind and our NHS is on its knees, yet the Plaid Cymru government can find money for whisky tasting in France, Cannes Film Festival tickets and campervan hire. Taxpayers deserve answers as to why public money is being spent on these luxuries while our public services are failing.”
The more government, the more shenanigans…
Kemi Badenoch at the 1922-ConHome bash last night:
“I did praise [Burnham] for his stamina, it was amazing. All I had to do was sit back and lie there. I didn’t have to do anything at all…”
