Robert Jenrick on the £72 million donations Reform has received in the last few days:
“[Ben Delo and Christopher Harborne are] two patriotic British businessmen, who have got behind us, everything that we stand for, who believe we’re the only party that is able to turn this country around and fix the mess that we’re in right now…”
He added: “These two donations are entirely in line with the law as it is and, as far as we know, what it is going to be in the future…”
Meanwhile Angela Rayner warned that any decisions made following a review into donations rules “will be backdated”…
Robert Jenrick told a rally on Monday:
“They say Chancellors are either undertakers or bookies. This one is an ostrich – and when the Chancellor buries his head in the sand, the rest of us, we’re left staring at his you know what.”
