New polling from More in Common has Labour in the lead at 26%, down two points from Burnham’s first week. The right is also tightening up:
“Reform and the Conservatives are tied within one percentage point of one another – but for the first time in 18 months, the Conservatives are in the lead.
This marks the Conservatives’ highest vote share since the beginning of this year, and Reform’s lowest since January 2025. While the Conservatives’ lead remains well within the margin of error, it ends Reform’s year-and-a-half streak of remaining in first or second place.”

UPDATE: A Tory source said: “It’s still a long way to go, but it’s now clear Reform are going backwards. A pointless by-election vs a bin, chronic infighting, and still no answers on the fishy £5m personal donation; Farage is floundering and his party has now slipped to third in the polls. It’s surely only a matter of time before Farage decides to throw in the towel.”
