Andy Burnham has told broadcasters he’s not embarrassed about texting an unknown impersonator posing as White House chief of staff Susie Wiles:
“No, I’m not, because there was a minimal exchange. Nothing of consequence… And actually, quickly, I realised that this needed to be reported and I did so.
All politicians are receiving these pressures and these challenges, but I did everything right. There was a minimal exchange of information of zero consequence, and it was quickly reported.”
No10 is not releasing the contents of those messages. So just take his word for it…
Lord Khan in the Telegraph: “I hope, and I say this in a non-pompous way, that the public service I do will bring rewards in this world and the hereafter,” he says. “I’m hoping the work I do is earning me Brownie points.”
