British Petroleum has announced it will sell its operation in the North Sea after six decades. CEO Meg O’Neill said:
“The North Sea remains integral to the UK’s energy system. However, as we focus our portfolio and direct capital to our highest-value opportunities, we believe our North Sea business will be better positioned as part of another company.”
Less than a day after Burnham boasted about supporting the North Sea to Trump, saying: “There is a resource there. When people are struggling – you can’t ignore that and hence me indicating that to the president.” Bit of a puncture there…
