An embarrassing morning for Good Morning Britain after Reform’s Robert Jenrick called his interview with Ed Balls and Susanna Reid a “waste of time.” His mic was still on after the interview ended. Could have been worse…
Jenrick was invited on mostly to talk about the video of Streeting and Mahmood which Guido reported yesterday. Instead he received hostile questioning about the Tories’ record on prisons. The presenters reacted to his hot mic remark:
“Oh dear, I think it wasn’t a waste of time. I think Robert Jenrick gave us very clear answers… I mean it was good he came on the programme. Um, and we’re very grateful for his time.”
Good Morning Britain briefly shared the video on their own social media channels. It has since been deleted. Why would you clip a video of someone telling you that your show is a waste of time?

Robert Jenrick told a rally on Monday:
“They say Chancellors are either undertakers or bookies. This one is an ostrich – and when the Chancellor buries his head in the sand, the rest of us, we’re left staring at his you know what.”
