Government departments have so far refused to say they will change their practices. They said they would follow updated guidance – here it is…
The guidance will come across Bridget Phillipson’s desk by the end of August according to the Times. Not all public-service provider venues will have to have single-sex spaces but those that do will be told to exclude transgender women. It won’t be discriminatory to ask for a birth certificate. Venues will have to make sure there are facilities for trans people. Nature continues to heal…

“Splendido!” Farage says, when the drinks arrive; I suppose it’s a step to European reconciliation. We clink glasses, and he lights the first of two back-to-back Benson & Hedges.
