When Labour entered government it was very keen to tell journalists not to expect small boat crossings to go down immediately. It’s coming up to a year now and they are still going up…
The government can still not name a single gang it has “smashed.” Despite chucking hundreds of millions at the French their police are unwilling to wade into the Channel to stop small boats as they arrive to pick up crossers – they are actually getting worse. It’s not like that issue wasn’t known about before…
