New figures from the Office for National Statistics show that the number employed in central government has risen above four million for the first time ever. What was that about a more agile state Keir?
- Employment in the public sector hit 6.14 million in December. A rise of 53,000 from the year before…
- Central government increased up 105,000 in 12 months.
- NHS staff reached a record high too of over 2 million – up by almost 50,000.
