Nigel Farage hit back hard against Reform MP Rupert Lowe’s recent comments in The Mail, where he said Farage was a “Messiah” leading a “protest party” and that “it was too early to tell” if Nigel would make a good PM. Farage slapped down his colleague on Talk, saying:
“We are not a protest party in any way at all that is utterly wrong utterly completely wrong. Do you know, what if I’ve got a following out there that’s a good thing. If I hadn’t we wouldn’t have won any seats in Parliament at all on the fourth of July including [Lowe’s seat] Great Yarmouth”.
Farage finished with a jibe at Lowe: “Perhaps he wants to become Prime Minister”. Happy families…
Lucy Powell on LBC, asked by Tom Swarbrick for her reaction to Labour MP Samantha Niblett’s call for a ‘summer of sex’ debate in Parliament: “I personally don’t own any sex toys, but each to their own… I’m not really sure that’s the right place for it, no.”
