Since the start of last year MoD staff have misplaced or had stolen a whopping 735 devices – that’s laptops, phones, computers, and USB sticks. That’s 53 per month. How do you lose 25 computers?
Something has happened with phones this year. In the whole of 2024, 161 phones were lost or stolen, while in the month and a half that has so far passed this year 267 are gone. In this month alone MoD staff have been shedding telephones at a rate of 12 per working day. Are they aware these things aren’t one-time use…
