A freelance journalist named Lydia Suffield has faced Westminster Magistrates’ Court accused of a year-long campaign of stalking against former chancellor George Osborne and his wife, Thea Rogers. The 27-year-old allegedly bombarded the couple with emails, Instagram messages, and unfounded complaints to the NSPCC from June 2022 to July 2023…
Suffield also allegedly targeted the couple’s family, friends, and colleagues, spreading allegations of drug abuse and even sending a purported gift for their young children. Appearing in court today, Suffield spoke to confirm her personal details and plead not guilty to the charges. District Judge Annabel Pilling referred the case to Isleworth Crown Court for trial. A plea and trial preparation hearing has been set for January 6th.
