It’s back to school and back to more terrible polling for Sunak. Deltapoll’s latest poll puts Rishi at -43%, a drop by 8 percentage points in the last week. Starmer has managed to climb back up by 5 percentage points to -2%, despite Labour’s tumultuous last week. This latest poll is the widest gap between the two leaders they’ve ever seen…

In terms of voting intention, the gap between Labour and the Tories now stand at 21 percentage points, with Labour at 48% and Conservatives 27%. Meanwhile, Judith McAlpine, a prominent Tory donor, has come out saying she’ll have “real trouble” voting for the party. No doubt Tory plotters will be jumping on this to argue they need a new unifying leader…
