The official GLA target for affordable housing starts until 2026 is between 23,900 and 27,100 per year. In the last three quarters Khan has managed just 874 – a dismal 4% of the target. Meanwhile, council house starts under the £4.8 billion “Building Council Homes for Londoners” programme since May number exactly zero.
