Ahead of tomorrow’s local elections, Guido has put together a summary of what the final polls are predicting heading into election day. Broadly speaking, the SNP’s popularity has waned (although a majority is still within reach), enthusiasm for Scottish independence is declining, and the Tories are gaining on Labour in Wales. Undecided voters could make a real difference in both administrations.
Khan is the runaway favourite in London, whilst both the Conservative mayoral candidates in the Tees Valley and the West Midlands are far ahead of their Labour rivals. Survation’s bombshell poll for the Hartlepool by-election also projects a big Conservative win.
