Frost’s National Security Adviser Appointment Scrapped

Plans for Lord Frost to become the UK’s new national security advisor have been scrapped over fears his departure from his current EU-facing role would lead to too great a loss of institutional knowledge. When Mark Sedwell was dismissed last June, it was announced his role would be split in two, with Frost getting the security brief and a new figure to replace him as Cabinet Secretary. Theresa May, who was outraged by the appointment at the time, will be pleased…
