Guido hears that the US Embassy was briefly hopeful of a November 3rd Presidential election night event and was in the early stages of planning one over the Summer. Unsurprisingly, however, these plans have since been scuppered. Despite being US soil, and US laws applying within the embassy, there is a coronavirus edict from the State Department demanding embassies follow pandemic restrictions of their host countries, rather than potentially more lax US rules.
