Council Fish Out Colston Statue

After four days of sitting at the bottom of the harbour, the statue of Edward Colston – pulled down by Black Lives Matter protestors – has been retrieved by the local council; declaring it had to be done given Bristol’s harbour is still a working one and may otherwise damage boats. Colston is now heading for “a secure location before later forming part of our museum’s collection.” Perhaps he’d now feel more at home in the Bristol aquarium…
