May Billed Taxpayer £2,000 for Sofa Betrayal Video

Theresa May famously took to the Downing Street sofa for a more laid-back feel as she tried to explain to the nation why she had bottled Brexit. The 02:18 video has minimal editing beyond subtitles and appears to be filmed on a handheld device – it’s low-res and the camera is shaky although these appear to be deliberate production choices. How it ended up costing the taxpayer two grand is a mystery, Guido could have done it for them in about 15 minutes…

Quote of the Day

Boris responds to Tusk…

“I don’t want a No Deal Brexit but I say to our EU friends if they don’t want No Deal they have got to get rid of the backstop from treaty. If Donald Tusk doesn’t want to go down in history as Mr No Deal Brexit then I hope this point will be borne in mind by him too.”
