Vote Confirmed for Tomorrow – But Not Meaningful Vote 3

There is a lot of ambiguity surrounding whether a meaningful vote will be held tomorrow. Andrea Leadsom told the Commons this morning that the Government will bring forward a vote tomorrow that “will comply with the Speaker’s ruling.” The vote will take place as Leave Means Leave hosts a big rally in Parliament Square…

UPDATE: A spokesperson for Andrea Leadsom has put out this statement:

“Tomorrow’s motion will need to be compliant with both the Speaker’s ruling and the EU Council’s decision on conditionality relating to exit on 22 May. Discussions are ongoing and we will look to table the motion as soon as possible today, in order to avoid asking for another extension and the requirement to undertake European Parliament elections.”

Looks like they’re still making their minds up…

UPDATE II: A Downing Street source confirms to Guido that it is not MV3 being tabled for tomorrow after all, but there will be motion tabled later today that is more meaningful than Monday’s neutral motion. What could it be…
