Alcohol Banned in Commons Tea Room mdi-fullscreen

MPs have returned from Christmas recess to discover that alcoholic drinks will no longer be served in the Commons tea room. Until today it had stocked a selection of miniature wines. A recently elected MP told Guido they had seen at most three people drink a small glass of wine over their entire two years in Parliament. This entirely tokenistic puritan preclusion doesn’t actually deal with the real problem of cheap taxpayer subsidised boozing in parliament…
