The President-elect last night announced he will be formulating a rule decreeing that for every one new regulation, two old regulations must be torn up. Of course in Britain we already have the very same rule, implemented by Oliver Letwin during the last government. Incidentally, Trump is also planning to “drain the swamp” by banning public officials from becoming lobbyists for five years after they leave their government jobs.
