“Hipster Beggar” Caitlin Moran’s Crowdfunding Bid Fails

caitlin-crowdfunder-fail

Caitlin Moran has alas failed to crowdfund the £320,000 needed to film her sitcom after it was cancelled by Channel 4. As readers will remember, Caitlin had not wanted to explain why she was asking members of the public to stump up the cash when her companies hold hundreds of thousands in assets. Despite having £248,000 in the bank, on Sunday she sent the begging bowl round again hoping to raise the rest of the money in the last 4 hours the campaign was live. Her pleas went unanswered. Will she now risk her some of own money?

Quote of the Day

Trevor Kavanagh’s analysis of the Brexit process…

“Thanks to Mrs May and her useless Chancellor Phil Hammond, this will not come without pain. But we escape with imagination and true British grit or we will be boiled alive.

It means on this centenary Remembrance of our struggle against tyranny, we risk ceding non-military victory in Europe to the undemocratic forces of an unaccountable totalitarian regime.”
