Embarrassment for Sadiq Khan at Mayor’s Question Time this morning as Tory Assembly members read out his aide Amy Lame’s abusive tweets. Khan gave a very mealy mouthed response about not condoning Lame mocking Thatcher’s death and calling Tories “scum“. He noticeably didn’t condemn her either. Amusingly Khan then accused the Tories of “petty differences” for bringing up Lame’s tweets. Who’s the petty one?

The Mayor has misjudged the mood on this one…
