The LibDem by-election campaign in Richmond is off to an ominous start, with the local party yesterday welcoming disgraced ex-MP Jenny Tonge back into the fold. Tonge is a former Richmond Park MP – despite losing the whip in the Lords she is still a LibDem member, the party has ignored her string of anti-Semitism scandals including one just last week.
