The Guy Newsroom has Sky News playing all day. The coverage is pacy and usually quicker than the BBC. They have a new studio set which for obvious reasons they are calling “the Glass Box“. It is early days yet and we may get used to it. However….

It looks to Guido like the presenters are at the back of the main exit of a shopping mall. Behind them is a distracting procession of suits wandering around. Male presenters in grey suits look like they are camouflaged against the steel and glass background, fortunately the female presenters are wearing vivid block colours to make them stand out. The new set just looks cold and austere to the viewer. They are going to have to tint that glass…
