Jackie Walker’s position as vice-chair of Momentum looks increasingly untenable after sources said Jon Lansman, previously a supporter and friend, had reached the end of his tether. A senior Jewish Labour source toldĀ Guido last night:
“Very senior members of Momentum from Lansman downwards are appalled by this. They say they find Jackie a liability. They recognise the damage that she is doing. They agree that her remarks are continually offensive.”
The Guardian reports that members of Momentum’s steering committee will seek to have Walker expelled on Monday. Manuel Cortes, the leader of the militant TSSA union, says Walker must resign or his union will withdraw their support from Momentum.
