Corbyn’s Venezuelan Comrades Pass Forced Labour Law mdi-fullscreen

Time for an update from the socialist paradise of Venezuela. This week their tyrannical president Nicolas Maduro, ideological brother of Jeremy Corbyn, Diane Abbott, Owen Jones, Seumas Milne et al, was condemned by Amnesty International for passing a “forced labour” law. Maduro signed the decree giving the state power to compel citizens to go and work in the fields. Amnesty say:

“A new decree establishing that any employee in Venezuela can be effectively made to work in the country’s fields as a way to fight the current food crisis is unlawful and effectively amounts to forced labour”

Extreme poverty in Venezuela has risen by 53% since 2014, 90% of Venezuelans are eating less than they did last year, and animals in the country’s zoos are starving to death due to food shortages. This is what the Shadow Justice Secretary was saying just a year ago:
