A veteran BBC Wales correspondent gets in touch with curious tale that took place at the Beeb’s Cardiff studios a few years back. The office was renowned for its macho, laddish culture, sexual shenanigans and boyo banter. The women in the newsroom were often on the receiving end of the work-hard-play-hard mentality of the blokes. One day, a young female presenter had an absolute car crash of an interview. She was a relative newbie, but everything went wrong and one producer in particular was not impressed. When she returned to her third-floor office desk she found a series of arrows printed on pieces of paper, leading up to the window ledge. The implication being that she should jump out. If you were that presenter or know which producer was responsible for the tasteless gag, we’d love to hear from you…
