Médecins Sans Frontières today announced it would no longer accept funding from Brussels in a pretty extraordinary indictment of the EU-Turkey deal. Central to the decision is a secret agreement forged by EU leaders to extend the migrant deal to Eritrea, Somalia, Sudan and Afghanistan. Der Spiegel has details:
The ambassadors of the 28 European Union member states had agreed to secrecy. “Under no circumstances” should the public learn what was said at the talks that took place on March 23rd, the European Commission warned during the meeting of the Permanent Representatives Committee… Under the heading “TOP 37: Country fiches,” the leading diplomats that day discussed a plan that the EU member states had agreed to: They would work together with dictatorships around the Horn of Africa in order to stop the refugee flows to Europe — under Germany’s leadership.
The implication is that EU leaders plotted with war criminals and murderous dictators to hand refugees back to the very leaders they were fleeing from, and then give them money for “cameras, scanners and servers” to keep them under watch. An incredible story which has had no traction in the British press yet. Remember this when they tell you Remain is the internationalist, outward-looking choice…
