The progressive elite in the form of the prince of darkness, Lord Mandelson himself, is coming out of the shadows to enlighten the workers of GKN this afternoon. Unfortunately Mandelson – who campaigned for Britain to join the €uro in the 1990s – knows little about Euro 2016. The GKN factory floor may be less than delighted to hear him boring on about the delights of Brussels since it means they’ll miss the England v Wales match in the Stade Bollaert-Delelis which kicks off at the same time. They are less than pleased at the prospect of missing the match and he may find his audience won’t be “Remaining” to listen to him…
