Missed your fill of Telegraph stories about men with two penises recently? As part of its ‘digital first’ focus the paper has implemented a disastrous new Content Management System, which fell over on six separate days in the last two weeks. The new “AEM Authoring” system, the baby of zany Digital Director Malcolm Coles, has required “emergency” work because news stories could not be uploaded to the site. Then came a further hiccup: “Editorial are currently experiencing delays when publishing content”. Journalists complained that their copy was unable to be published on June 3, 4, 7, 8, 10 and 11. On Saturday another problem arose: “Editorial are unable to create new articles”To be fair that could be down to the CMS, or it could be because they’ve fired half their writers…
