Tom Watson spent last night firing truth bullets at the Corbynista hordes. While most of the Shadow Cabinet stayed silent about their own activists’ treatment of Laura K, he stood up to Labour’s loonier contingent:
I feel embarrassed that @bbclaurak was hissed in the course of doing her job today. It was rude and inappropriate.

@Sam_Lewis Obviously that's a silly response but even it were true, which it isn't, she shouldn't have been hissed.

@Sam_Lewis However she does her job, hissing her was rude.

@Sam_Lewis In what way is hissing at someone holding them to account?
— tom_watson (@tom_watson) June 2, 2016
@Sam_Lewis Oh yes I can see it now, the hissing revolution. I think you might be onto something there. Please write it all up in a pamphlet.

By Guido’s count he slapped down about 60 tweeters who praised the booing and hissing. The next Labour leader after Corbyn will want a more grown-up relationship with the BBC’s political editor – you can get 10/1 on it being Watson…
