The anti-Semitism row engulfing Labour is particularly awkward for Sadiq Khan. He campaigned for Naz Shah last year:
And, more disturbingly, he defended Ken Livingstone over his anti-Semitic remarks to a Jewish reporter. Khan said at the time:
“Ken Livingstone has been elected to serve the city of London by millions of voters. Unelected officials should not be able to suspend a democratically elected Mayor unless he is guilty of a significant offence.”
Sadiq didn’t think calling a Jewish journalist a “concentration camp guard” was a “significant offence”…
