The McDonnell doctrine says any Labour member who expresses anti-Semitic views must be suspended from the party: “Out, out, out. If people express these views, full stop they’re out”. This morning Ken Livingstone said “Hitler was supporting Zionism… Let’s remember when Hitler won his election in 1932, his policy then was that Jews should be moved to Israel”. He then said Naz Shah was the victim of a “well-orchestrated campaign by Israel lobby”. Labour MPs are already demanding he must be suspended:
