Sadiq Khan is boasting today that he’ll “name and shame dodgy landlords to get London renters a better deal”. A check of Waltham Forest councillor Liaquat Ali’s Twitter feed will reveal he is big supporter of Sadiq’s campaign. His family are slum landlords in Waltham Forest. Last year his brother was ordered to demolish a “bed-in-a-shed” he rented out to tenants. At the tribunal Liaquat’s son, Hather Ali, argued that the family should not have to demolish the slum flat. They lost the tribunal…

So Guido wants to ask Sadiq: are the Ali’s assisting his campaign financially? Or just campaigning for him on the doorstep?
