Sadiq Pulls Out of Two Appearances in Three Days

Sadiq Khan was due to appear on the Marr show on Sunday but pulled out. As Guido tweeted on Friday:

If he’d faced the cameras he would have also had the chance to explain the Sunday Times story on his links to a radical imam. A useful swerve.

Now Guido hears Khan has cancelled his appearance at the London mayoral hustings on housing and infrastructure tonight, where journalists would’ve been waiting with awkward questions. Odd since he was happy to talk to the Turkish press about infrastructure yesterday. Is it the jihadi baddies or the funding black hole Sadiq doesn’t want to be asked about?

Quote of the Day

Peter Mandelson tells Emma Barnett…

“I think that Jeremy Corbyn himself should search his conscience and ask himself whether he’s the best person to lead the Labour Party into the general election with the best chance of success for the party.”
