Iran’s “More Nuanced Approach” to Israel mdi-fullscreen

Philip Hammond took to the airwaves this morning to praise Iran’s “more nuanced approach” towards Israel, in response to critics of his attempts to rebuild relations with the theocratic regime. How is that whole “more nuanced approach” going?

Here is the latest diplomatic effort from Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s Twitter account, which CNN confirms is “affiliated” to the Supreme Leader:

“We support resistance in Palestine and the region, and take all possible means to support anyone who fights Israel, is against the Zionist regime and supports resistance.”

Just two days ago, Khamenei told Iranians:

“the root cause of the problems returns to [our] real enemies, the US and Israel… [Islamic nations] have realized that their real stubborn enemy is the world arrogance and Zionism and that’s why they chant slogans against the US and Zionism”

Perhaps that “more nuanced approach” simply involves Fajr-5 rockets rather than nuclear bombs…
