This is beyond sublime, this is peak Corbynismo. 84 pages of left-wing paens to Corbyn. Guido’s favourite by far is this from Nick Telfer:
Disappointingly not much of it rhymes, such is the modern way. Alec Finlay’s from ‘a better tale to tell’ composed from submissions to The Smith Commission is definitely unique. “Corbyn” by Ernest Schonfield seemed to Guido to be basically a list of sort of things a drunk Scottish socialist shouts in a row (“war criminal Blair”) and it turns out Ernest is a writer and Lecturer in German at the University of Glasgow. So very probably Guido’s guess is accurate.
Enjoy this timely and important work, demonstrating that the intellectuals are, as always, at the vanguard of the revolution. Guido hasn’t enjoyed poetry so much since read Dr Seuss to his children…
