Last year Jeremy Corbyn popped up on Putin propaganda channel RT, to give his two cents on the worsening situation in Syria and Iraq. In the space of minute he managed to bizarrely downplay ISIS’ crimes, asserting that only “some” of what they had done was appalling and equated the actions of ISIS with the US military.
“Yes they [ISIS] are brutal, yes some of what they have done is quite appalling. Likewise, what the Americans did in Fallujah and other places is appalling, but there has to be seen to be an acceptance of a much wider view of the world than is apparent at the present time.”
What is it about ISIS that Jeremy doesn’t find appalling?
