Uber have unleashed a new weapon in their war against anti-competitive regulatory clampdowns – the race card. The increasing popular taxi app are painting themselves as champions of racial equality and proudly declaring themselves to be an exciting new tool for promoting economic mobility among ethnic minorities.
In cities across the world minorities face constant difficulty when trying to hail a cab. According to Diane Abbott even in London, if you live in some neighbourhoods you can forget seeing a taxi drive past, especially at night. As part of their successful campaign against pinko New York Mayor Bill de Blasio’s plans to cap their growth this month, Uber released an advert explicitly highlighting their colour blind service.
“While taxis often refuse people in minority neighbourhoods, Uber is there”
Without any taxpayer handouts, or government programs, Uber is bringing dignity and and economic empowerment to those who need it most What’s not to like?
